The articulation of value in this high priority specialised disease has been a game changer. Accession worked closely with our client on a three-year launch programme to elicit and communicate the value of their therapeutic advancement to NHS England. Our programme commenced with education of the market and cross pollination of ideas and needs between senior clinical thought leaders and commissioners. Through this dialogue we were able to find mutual ground and understanding on the value of this new technology. We conducted a series of strategic advisory boards to map the rapidly changing landscape and ensure our client could plan their activities through a deep understanding of the environment. We utilised this insight and our expertise alongside our value creation methodology to develop a highly engaging customer facing value proposition to motivate action and investment in this area from NHS England.
To support the call to action, and once the value had been established, we designed and delivered a sophisticated budget impact model to enable budget planning across the whole market at national, regional and local level.
NHS England recognised the value of the therapy and committed to reimbursement pre-NICE, in launch year. The holy grail of market access?
